Rental Terms & Conditions
Airport Van Rental Solutions is a company which specializes in passenger van rentals ranging from 7 passengers to 15 passengers as well as cargo vans. Below are some general rental rules and some frequently asked questions. Please be advised that operating hours and policies will vary based on location and operating hours.

15 Passenger Vans: Ford Econoline E350 or Chevrolet Express 3500
12 Passenger Vans: Ford Econoline E350 or Chevrolet Express 3500
11 Passenger Vans: Ford Econoline E350 or Chevrolet Express 3500
8 Passenger Vans: Ford Econoline E150 or Chevrolet Express 3500
7 Passenger Vans: Dodge Grand Caravan, Chrysler Town and Country or Kia Sedona
Payment:
Credit Card/Debit Card Policy: Debit card must have a Visa or MasterCard logo. Debit card and driver's license must be in same name. AVR will authorize the amount of the rental and an additional $250.00 as a security deposit. Unused funds upon return will be credited back to the card. This process may take up to 14 days for a credit to appear back on your account due to bank processing standards.
Debit Card Users:
Local Renters must provide proof of residency (current utility bill or pay stub) and a copy of personal vehicle insurance.
Travelers must provide a copy of their round trip ticket.
Major Credit Card:
Credit card and driver's license must both be valid and in the same name. AVR will authorize the amount of the rental as well as an additional $150.00 as a security deposit. Due to bank processing, any credits may take up to 5 days to appear back on your account.
Cash deposit is not accepted at the time of rental, but can be used as payment upon return.
Prepaid Cards/Personal Checks:
Prepaid cards or personal checks are not accepted as forms of payment.
Shuttle:
Free shuttle service to airports and surrounding hotels is available. Please contact each individual location for specific details.
Insurance:
Additional protection is available for all vehicles at the time of rental. We advise that you check with your personal insurance company for any coverage details, if you are deciding to use your own coverage.
Collision Damage Waiver:
AVR offers a CDW (collision damage waiver) to all renters, which for an additional daily charge relieves the renter of all financial responsibility for the loss or damage to the rental car, as long as the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms of the Rental Agreement. Cost depends on the vehicle type and rental location - the exact per diem cost is available at the rental counter.
Rental Liability Coverage:
(RLP): Primary insurance protecting you against claims made by a third party for bodily injury and/or property damage sustained while operating the rental vehicle, up to the required financial responsibility limits of the state in which the vehicle is rented. Does not cover all situations that may arise while operating a rental vehicle.
Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI):
This coverage is a supplement in excess of existing insurance benefits specified within your signed rental agreement up to $1,000,000. Protects you against claims made by third party for bodily injury and/or property damage sustained as a result of an accident while operating the rental vehicle. Does not cover all situations that may arise while operating a rental vehicle.
Mexico Insurance:
AVR offers the purchase of Mexico insurance on vehicle rentals. Mexico insurance must be purchased at the AVR location 72 hours prior to travel to Mexico. Rates start at $27.00 per calendar day including tax. Travel is allowed to cities in Mexico close to the California and Arizona borders.
Roadside Assistance Program (RSA):
If you purchase our roadside service assistance (RSA) we will waive all, or a portion of, the cost of a roadside assistance service call up to the amount of $400.00 per incident. You may purchase RSA at $2.99 per rental day. Benefits include emergency road service, towing, winching, jump start, flat tire change, lockout service and emergency fuel delivery. Some restrictions apply. Ask for a copy of an RSA brochure at the rental counter.
Geographic:
Unlimited mileage only applies to the states of California, Arizona and Nevada. Any travel outside of these states is subject to mileage charges. Prepaid mileage is available at a discounted rate at the time of rental. Any unused prepaid mileage is nonrefundable.
Cleaning Fees:
At AVR, we pride ourselves in providing clean and smoke-free vehicles. Therefore a $99 cleaning fee will be added to any rental van or minibus that has been smoked in or has carried any pets.
Age Requirements:
Minimum Age for any rental is 21. Any renter between the ages of 21-24 will be subject to a $15.00 a day underage fee.
One Way Rentals:
AVR offers nationwide one-way rental van drop offs for a fee. Please contact your renting office for pricing details.
Cancellations:
At AVR Van Rental solutions we pride ourselves on guaranteeing all reservations. Therefore, cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to rental are at no charge. Cancellations made within the 48-hour period prior to your rental are subject to a one-day rental charge. We ask that you cancel your reservation directly with the rental office and if you reserve on any third-party site, please be sure to cancel with them to avoid any cancellation fees.
Delayed Pickups:
Reservations will be honored for 2 hours after your scheduled pickup time. Please make sure to call your renting office if you are going to be delayed more than 2 hours.
Late Returns or Extensions:
Any late returns or extensions will be subject to a higher daily or weekly rate. Please check with your renting office if you need to extend your rental.
Gas:
Prepaid gas is available at every location. Otherwise we ask that you return the rental van with the same amount of fuel as when the vehicle left the rental location. Vehicles returned with less fuel will be subject to local gas price plus a one-time $15.00 refueling fee.
Van Deliveries:
AVR provides rental van deliveries anywhere in the United States for an additional fee. Please contact your local office for pricing.
Roadside Emergency:
AVR is pleased to offer roadside assistance throughout the United States and Canada. Please refer to RSA paragraph above for details.
Traveling to Mexico:
AVR will allow any rental van or minibus to enter Mexico with the purchase of additional Mexico Insurance provided through AVR. Rates start at $27.00 for each calendar day. Please inform AVR 72 hours prior to your rental if Mexico Insurance is needed.
Equipment:
AVR allows towing with our Passenger rental vans - 8 Passenger rental vans and above. Towing package can be provided at an additional charge of $24.99 a day. Renter must provide full coverage insurance to cover the rented vehicle. Additional protections are not available through AVR when towing. Any alterations to the rented vehicle, including snow chains, trailers or roof racks, etc. will void all protections purchased through AVR. Renter will be fully responsible for all damages to the rented vehicle and the third party.
Additional Drivers:
AVR allows additional drivers. These additional drivers must provide a valid driver's license as well as additional contact information
Parking Tickets/Toll Violations:
Renter is responsible for any parking and/or toll violations incurred during the rental period. Any toll fees must be paid by the renter before entering any toll roads or bridges/crossings. Any toll evasion notices received by AVR will be paid immediately and a $55.00 administrative fee will be added to the original violation amount. Renters that receive a parking ticket have 10 days to pay the ticket before AVR receives a second notice. Upon receiving the second notice, AVR will immediately pay the violation and a $55.00 administrative fee will be applied to the original ticket amount.
Qualification:
NOTE: Please review the complete terms, polices and conditions of renting from AVR, these will be discussed on the actual van rental agreement. Terms, conditions and taxes will vary based on location and other variables.
Only those taxes and fees which appear in the estimated total of the reservation and/or the van rental agreement are applicable for a specific van rental location. Please note that taxes and fees may be changed by a governing authority prior to arrival at the rental counter. Any changes to the taxes and/or fees will be shown on the rental agreement at the opening of the rental agreement. Adding additional optional charges such as upgrades, GPS rentals, etc. at the rental counter may affect the amounts of the applicable taxes and fees.
