 The California Science Center is a museum located in Exposition Park in Los Angeles that you can visit with your van rental. It is the West Coast’s largest hands-on science center that was created as a public-private partnership between the state and the California Science Center Foundation. The center has an IMAX Theater, Sketch Foundation Gallery, Air and Space Exhibits, and the Science Center itself.

The Science Center explores all living creatures from the single-celled amoeba all the way to the most complex human being. When you visit with your van rental you can see the connections among all species. There are five life process galleries: Energy Factory, Supply Network, Control Center, Defense Line, and Life Source. There is also Tess, a fifty-foot body simulator that you can see before leaving in your van rental. She will explain how your body keeps itself in balance.
Plan your visit

The California Science Center is the largest hands-on science center that you can visit on the West Coast with your van rental. They are open daily from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., except for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. The IMAX is open daily as well, but you will need to check with the Science Center for shows and times. Admission to the Science Center’s permanent exhibitions is free, but the price of the IMAX is based on age group. When you come with your van rental, there is a $6 fee for parking. You will need to turn west into Exposition Park on 39th Street from Figueroa and follow the signs. The best time to visit is on weekends and weekday afternoons. In the morning it tends to be busy with school groups.
