Van Rentals and Knott’s Berry Farm

Get your van rental today!

Knott’s Berry Farm is a theme park in Buena Park that you can visit with your van rental.

A berry good idea
Knott’s Berry Farm was started in the 1920s by Walter Knott, whose family sold berries from a roadside stand on Route 39. In the 1930s, the family went through difficult times in the Depression, but as Southern California developed, their location on Highway 39 became a major connection point between Los Angeles and Orange County. The restaurant became a popular stop for drivers and within a few years, lines at the restaurant were often several hours long. Knott began to build a ghost town to entertain the crowd by relocating buildings from real Old West towns as well as attractions such as a train ride and a pan-for-gold area. Disneyland eventually encouraged the family to build attractions such as rides, which you can now visit with your van rental. Today, the park features roller coasters. It is no longer a “berry farm”, but the name lives on.

Loose yourself
The oldest part of Knott’s Berry Farm is Ghost Town, which still includes most of the buildings that Knott bought and transported to the property in the 40s and 50s. Some of the attractions that you will want to check out before leaving in your van rental are the Ghost Town & Calico Railway, which uses a lot of the historic equipment from Colorado narrow-gage lines. There is also a mine ride, log ride, and a Wild West Stunt Show. More recently, a wooden roller coaster has been added. There is also the longest inverted roller coaster on the West Coast and the world’s first air-powered swing here.

Start a fiesta
Fiesta Village is the Latin-themed area of Knott’s Berry Farm that you can visit with your van rental. There are a number of carnival-style attractions such as a class merry-go-round, swing, tea cups, and much more. There is also Montezooma’s Revenge roller coaster and a family roller coaster.

Take a walk on the boardwalk
The Boardwalk that you can visit with your van rental. It was originally themed as a gypsy camp and later a “Roaring 20s” theme. This is where you will find most of the thrill rides in the park, including Sky Cabin Tower, Xcelerator, Supreme Scream, Riptide, and Boomerang.

For the kids
Don’t forget about the kids when you visit with your van rental. Camp Snoopy is targeted to younger visitors and is themed around the “Peanuts” cartoon. Snoopy has been the mascot of Knott’s Berry Farm since 1983 and characters can be seen throughout the park. There are mini versions of the larger rides here for kids to enjoy.

Knott’s Berry Farm is a great theme park to visit with your van rental while you are visiting Southern California. It has long been established as a must-see in the area.
