  1. Take the train to Ground Transportation Terminal (Baggage Claim.)

Once you retrieve your luggage, exit through door 514 on Terminal West side (Even #) or door 513 on the east side (Odd #). Proceed outside and walk to Island 4. A shuttle runs every half hour from 8 am to 8 pm, seven days a week, so you can get to your van rental hassle-free. We can also deliver a van directly to your location and provide a licensed and insured chauffeur if you'd prefer to sit back and relax.

AVR’s Fleet of Passenger Vans

AVR offers various rental services, but some of our most popular full-size models are passenger vans. Similar in size to cargo vans, these vehicles have 8-15 seats and plenty of space for everyone in your group to enjoy the journey. 

8 Passenger Van

Our smallest passenger van carries up to eight people, has four doors, and fits up to four bags in the cargo hold. It's perfect for large families, such as several generations taking a trip to Denver together.

11 Passenger Van 

Are you traveling with 9 to 11 people? This van is your best option and still provides sufficient room for luggage. Store up to five bags in the rear cargo area. 

12 Passenger Van

Our 12-seater van is popular since it can fit most large groups traveling for leisure or business. Some smaller groups may wish to rent this passenger van because it gives everyone a little extra space on road trips. 

15 Passenger Van

Bigger groups require our largest passenger vans, which hold up to 15 passengers. This is an excellent way for large groups to save money while traveling since you can split the van cost among all 15 travelers.

Frequently Asked Questions

How old do I need to be to rent a passenger van? 

Renters must be 21 years old or older to get a car or van from AVR. Our rental agency charges a young driver fee for all renters under 25 years of age, which is $25/day. Moreover, we require customers and additional drivers to have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a credit card. In some cases, renters may use a debit card.

What if I can’t make it to the pick-up location on time?

We try to offer our customers convenient car rental locations that make pick-ups a breeze. Still, we understand that plans change and flights get delayed. If you can't make it to your pick-up time, let us know by calling our office. We can reschedule or bring the vehicle to a location that is convenient for you.

Will AVR price match if I find a cheaper option? 

If you find a lower price from another car rental company, we will match it. However, it is up to the renters to save the competitor's offer, including the dates and model of the vehicle. These details should be the same as the reservation you made with AVR. 

What if I need the passenger van for longer? 

If you need to drop off your passenger van at a later time or date, please get in touch with our office as soon as possible. We can modify the drop-off time if no one has reserved the vehicle.

RENTAL QUALIFICATIONS

Renters must be 21 years or older to rent. Rates listed online are for 25 years and older. A valid driver license and valid payment card must be presented at time of pick-up.

International Driver License: Valid International driver license is required. International renters must provide proof of full coverage insurance valid in the United States. Insurance must be obtained prior to or at the time of rental.

It is our policy to hold reservations up to two hours beyond the scheduled arrival time, subject to published office hours. If you experience delays, please contact the rental office so that they can make their best effort to extend your reservation.

Young Driver Fee: Minimum Age for any rental is 21. Any renter between the ages of 21-24 will be subject to a $25.00 per day underage fee.

Additional Drivers:

Additional drivers must provide a valid driver license as well as additional contact information. Primary Driver Free + Additional driver $11.95/day.

Minimum Age for Additional Drivers:

21-24.All drivers are required to have state minimum liability protection. (Underage fee applies to any driver under the age of 25 no exceptions)

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Credit cards accepts Amex, Discover, MasterCard and Visa Credit card/ Debit card policy: Debit card must have a Visa or MasterCard logo. Debit card/Credit card and driver’s license must be in same name. Required at time of rental.AVR will authorize the amount of $200.00 as a security deposit. Unused funds upon return will be credited back to the card. This process may take up to 14 days for a credit to appear back on your account due to bank processing standards

Debit Card Users:

AVR will authorize an additional $200.00 as a security deposit; and local Renters must provide proof of residency (Current Utility Bill or Pay Stub) . Travelers must provide a copy of their round trip ticket. This process may take up to 14 days for a credit to appear back on your account due to bank processing standards. Debit cards are not accepted for Full size SUV reservations and rentals.

Prepaid Cards/Personal Checks:

Prepaid cards or personal checks are not accepted as forms of payment.

Cash Users:

Cash deposits are not accepted at the time of rental, but can be used as payment upon return, on the location.

PREPAID RESERVATIONS

If your reservation was confirmed directly with Airport Van Rental through the Airport Van Rental  web page at www.airportvanrental.com, please use the same source to cancel your reservation.  Prepaid reservations are non-refundable and may not be modified. Your credit card will be charged immediately for the entire rental reservation.

If your reservation was confirmed through another provider (booking site, outside source, etc.), please use the same source to cancel your reservation. Some providers (booking site, outside source, etc.) may charge for the cancellation of a reservation if not canceled within a specific time frame. Cancellation of a reservation directly through Airport Van Rental when confirmed through another provider may not relieve your responsibility with that provider. In order to alleviate charges (cancellation fee or penalty), check with the provider and cancel the reservation directly with them. 

CANCELLATION

If you cancel your reservation for any reason your payment is non-refundable. If you modify your reservation, or do not pick up your car rental on the scheduled pick up date and time, your reservation will be cancelled and you will not receive any credits or refunds.

MODIFICATION

The prepaid rate you selected applies to the exact date and times of rental days/car types. Any modification to a reservation is not permitted.

TOTAL PRICE

The price you selected includes the rental car rate, taxes and applicable fees.  The price does not include any additional fees, that may be incurred for the duration of your rental.

 

MILEAGE and LOCAL RENTER POLICY

Special mileage restrictions apply to:

Wheel Chair Accessible Vans: Limited to 150 free miles a day. Additional miles at $0.25/mile per mile.

Cargo Vans: Limited to 100 free miles per day. Additional miles at $0.25/mile

One Way Rentals: AVR offers nationwide one way drop offs for a fee. Please contact your renting office for pricing details.

Local Renter Policy:

Local Renters are defined as living within the State of Colorado. 

Credit Card Use Policy: Local Renters will be subject to a $200 deposit in addition to the cost of the rental.

Debit Card Use Policy: Local Renters will be required to provide a utility bill with an address that matches the renters license. Debit Cards will also be subject to a $200 deposit on top of rental charges. If your address has changed or updated, we will accept two bills with your new address that does not match your license.

Local Renter Mileage Policy:

SUVs and Minivans - 100 Miles Per day, total mileage allowed for the entire rental period is 3,000 miles.
All Other Rentals - 375 Miles Per day, total mileage allowed for the entire rental period is 3,000 miles

Miles in excess of 375 per day allowance will be charged at $0.25 per mile. Miles in excess of 3,000 total mileage cap will be charged at  $0.50 cents per mile regardless of length of rental unless authorized in writing by AVR Leadership. 

CANCELLATIONS/DELAYS OR EXTENSIONS

Non-Prepaid Rentals - Cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to rental are at no charge. Failure to change and cancel. Cancellations made within this 48 hour period prior to your rental are subject to a one day rental charge. We ask that you cancel your reservation directly with the rental office and if you reserve on any third party site please be sure to cancel with them to avoid any cancellation fees.

Prepaid Rentals - Prepaid Rentals are non refundable, certain exceptions may apply. Please contact customers service. 

Late Returns or Extensions: Any late returns or extensions will be subject to a higher daily or weekly rate, plus a $25 extension fee. Please check with your renting office if you need to extend your rental.

Delayed Pickups: Reservations will be honored for 2 hours after your scheduled pickup time only. Please make sure to call your renting office if you are going to be delayed more than 2 hours.

After Hour Drop Off: A $40 one time after hour parking fee will apply if leaving van at rental location after office hours or inside the Airport.

Early Returns 

We don't refund or provide compensation when a vehicle is returned early before their original reservation date. Each reservation rate has a special day requirement for obtaining that rate, therefore we don't offer any refund for the agreed reservation rate. Customers may return the vehicle early at their leisure and will be refunded for any unused coverage or accessory products for the days returned early. 

After Hour Drop Off

(From Monday to Friday before 8:00 am & after 3:30 pm – Saturdays & Sundays before 8:00 am & after 6:00pm)

  1.  Return the vehicle to Park2Jet (18121 East 81st Ave Commerce CO 80022) Phone # (303) 558-9790. This lot is located on the same street as ours, a block away.
  2. When entering, you will receive a parking ticket. Please place the parking ticket in the cupholder, if you fail to do so, Park2Jet will charge you $280.00.
  3. Directional arrows and lot personnel will direct you on where to park.
  4. Lock the vehicle and leave the key in the AVR drop box located in the main building, this box is on the wall at your left hand, next to the lost and found
    objects. *** $50 Charge for keys locked inside the vehicle. ***
  5. Then send an email to [email protected] including primary renter’s last name, lot letter & row #, license plate and type of vehicle returned. In the morning an agent will retrieve the vehicle and email a final receipt.

• This lot has a shuttle back to the airport that operates 24 hours a day.
• THE AFTERHOURS DROP FEE IS $40.00.
• You are responsible for any loss or damage to the vehicle even after you have
left the car at the after-hours drop location until AVR DIA resumes regular
business hours and can take possession of the car.

INSURANCE AND WAIVER PLANS

Collision Damage Waiver: CDW is not insurance and is not mandatory. If you accept CDW by your initials on the rental document at the daily rate for each full or partial day that the vehicle is rented to you, and the vehicle is used and operated in accordance with this agreement, we assume responsibility for loss or damage to the rented vehicle, except, if permitted by law, for lost, damaged or stolen keys or remote entry devices, towing or tire service unless related to an accident or recovery of the car if stolen and except for your amount of “responsibility”, if any, specified on the rental document. CDW does not cover theft of the vehicle if the keys cannot be produced. Cost of CDW depends on the vehicle type and rental location- the exact amount is available at the rental counter.

Deductible Damage Waiver: DDW is only available to Renters who carry an existing auto collision policy. DDW is not insurance and is not mandatory. If you accept DDW by your initials on the rental document at the daily rate for each full or partial day that the vehicle is rented to you, and the vehicle is used and operated in accordance with this agreement, we waive your responsibility for loss or damage to the rented vehicle up to the amount of your applicable primary auto insurance deductible, except, if permitted by law, for lost, damaged or stolen keys or remote entry devices, towing or tire service unless related to an accident or recovery of the car is stolen and except for your amount of “responsibility”, if any, specified on the rental document. In the unfortunate event that you are responsible for damage or collision, In order to validate coverage, you will be required to submit a copy of your primary auto policy’s “declaration” page to AVR’s claims department.

Supplemental Liability Protection (SLP) is available for an additional daily charge of USD X.XX for each rental day.

SLP is not insurance and is not mandatory. Supplemental Liability Protection (SLP) is a secondary protection product that picks up where primary liability (state statutory limits) leaves off… When combined with primary liability coverage, SLI provides the renter and any authorized driver up to $1,000,000 of liability protection for third party claims due to bodily injury or property damage. In order for SLP to pay on a claim, however, the state statutory limits must first at least be satisfied. The policy will respond only after all other available insurance has been exhausted.

Exclusions: SLP does not cover damage or injury to the renter, authorized drivers, family or household members, or passengers. This coverage may duplicate coverage already provided by insurance policies applicable to the renter. Airport Van Rental is not qualified to evaluate the adequacy of your existing insurance policies, therefore, please contact your personal agent for assistance. This coverage is voided if: the renter or authorized driver violate the terms of the rental contract, including but not limited to, participation in any speed contest, driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or driving the vehicle beyond the geographic limitations stated in the agreement; where the driver of the vehicle at the time of accident is not the renter, or authorized driver specifically authorized by Airport Van Rentals as noted in the rental agreement; where the renter obtains the vehicle by fraud or misrepresentation. Coverage does not apply to accidents that occur in Mexico. Coverage is not provided for uninsured or underinsured motorist.

Renters Liability Protection (RLP) is available for an additional daily charge of USD X.XX for each rental day.

RLP is not insurance and is not mandatory. Renters Liability Protection (RLP) affords the renter with liability protection at the policy limits required by the state. This protection will help protect the renter should the renter injure another person in an accident, or damage the property of another while operating the rental vehicle, up to the policy limits.

Exclusions: RLP is not available in the State of OR, CO or IN. RLP does not cover damage or injury to the renter, authorized drivers, family or household members, or passengers. Airport Van Rental is not qualified to evaluate the adequacy of your existing insurance policies, therefore, please contact your personal agent for assistance. This coverage is voided if: the renter or authorized driver violate the terms of the rental contract, including but not limited to, participation in any speed contest, driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or driving the vehicle beyond the geographic limitations stated in the agreement; where the driver of the vehicle at the time of accident is not the renter, or authorized driver specifically authorized by Airport Van Rentals as noted in the rental agreement; where the renter obtains the vehicle by fraud or misrepresentation. Coverage does not apply to accidents that occur in Mexico. Coverage is not provided for uninsured or underinsured motorist.

Mexico Insurance: AVR Van Rental offers the purchase of Mexico Insurance, on vehicle rentals. Mexico insurance required to be purchased at the AVR location 72 hours prior to travel to Mexico. Rates start at $65.00 per calendar day including tax. Travel is allowed to cities in Mexico close to California and Arizona border. NOT AVAILABLE IN CANADA.

RSA: Roadside Assistance (RSA): If you purchase our Roadside Service Assistance (RSA) we will waive all, or a portion of, the cost of a roadside assistance service call up to the amount of $400.00 per incident. You may purchase RSA at $5.99 per rental day. Benefits include emergency road service towing, winching, jump start, flat tire change, lockout service, and emergency fuel delivery. Some restrictions apply ask for a copy of an RSA brochure at the rental counter. Roadside assistance is available to all customers at the renter’s expense should the RSA option be declined. RSA does not cover the loss or damage to any vehicle or its equipment.

Tolls

TOLLS SERVICE: Under the toll program, customers have several options to not use the OnePass® service. Customers may use their own personal transponder in the vehicle to pay for any tolls. Customers may pay in cash. Customers may avoid toll roads altogether. Customers should know that some toll roads are now cashless, and no longer accept cash payments. Customers accepting the OnePass® Unlimited Plan agree to pay $12.95 per each day of the Rental, for which all tolls will be covered with no additional charges. If customer declines and still incurs a toll not paid by the Customer, then Customer agrees to pay the amount of each toll plus a $15.00 Daily Usage Fee for each day tolls are incurred, up to a maximum of $75.00 per rental agreement. Tolls will be charged at the highest posted, non-discounted cash rate. These charges will typically occur within 3-6 weeks after the rental has been completed and will be charged by our toll administrator GTS (Global Toll Services) with whom we will share your rental information with.

HAND CONTROLS

AVR will provide hand controls at no additional charge. A 72 Hrs. advanced notice is required and renter needs to contact the location directly by phone prior to rental.

CLEANING FEES

$400 cleaning fee will be added to any vehicle that has been smoked in, pet hair, or excessively dirty.

NON-PROFIT

Bring copy of non-profit organization and Tax exempt Id.

PARKING TICKET AND TOLL VIOLATIONS

  1. You agree to be responsible for payment of all tolls, fines and violations and authorize AVR to release my rental and debit/ charge card information to Violation Management Services (VMS) for the exclusive purpose of processing billing and/or payment of tolls, parking or traffic fines, fees penalties, notices and/or an administrative fee up to $55.00 for EACH infraction or toll, violation or evasion incurred during my rental period.
