There are also six rides for adults as well. The West Coaster is a steel roller coaster around the perimeter of the park that goes up 55 feet in the air. Out on the boardwalk

The Santa Monica Pier is one of the most prominent and well-known landmarks that you can visit with your van rental. Pacific Park is the most-well known attraction here, but there is also an aquarium, shops, an arcade, a pub, and restaurants. At the end of the pier, anglers can cast a line. In the summer, stop by with your van rental on Tuesday for the Twilight Dance Series. This is a free open-air film screening from August until late September.

Feuding over the water

The current Santa Monica Pier that you can visit with your van rental is actually two piers that for a long time had separate owners. The narrow Municipal Pier opened in 1909 for sewer pipes to carry waste beyond the breakers. There were no amenities here. The shorter and wider Pleasure Pier (or Newcomb Pier) was built in 1916. The Carousel was built in 1922 on Pleasure Pier, which was rebuilt in 1990.

Shop till you drop
